Dessert @ one of my favourite restaurants in Perth, Itsara.This is a pavlova with cream and fresh berries. Pavlova is really normal in Australia, but I have met quite a few Europeans that have never heard of it (my boyfriend is Dutch and he only discovered it last year and now loves it!). It is kind of like meringue, crunchy and crispy outside, but very chewy in the centre… and of coarse super sweet and super delicious!

This little guy is a Quokka, I photographed him at an island just off the coast of my city called ‘Rottnest’. Quokkas used to live all over the south west of western Australia, but are now limited to a few small mainland populations and one decent sized population at Rottnest. They are one of my favourite creatures, you can probably see why…

Dinner @ Harvest

My boyfriend surprised me with a degustation dinner at Harvest for my birthday (I know, what a guy!). Everything was delicious! It was 8 courses of bliss! At the end after our 3rd dessert, we fell into a food coma and we had to walk around the block twice to feel ‘normal’ again…. but it was worth it;)
